For anyone who remembers its 2016 predecessor, they might say that the 2017 merlot is “the same only a little better”.  It has a soft, slightly ‘leathery’ aroma, along with ‘dark fruits and cedar’.  It is slightly darker and deeper in color.  Its flavor profile centers on plum but a little more black plum than red plum.  On the palate it is ‘fruit-forward’ and has comfortable tannins.
