TASTING NOTES

15 OV Chard

2019 Old Vines
Chardonnay

In the glass this chardonnay has a medium straw tone.

It’s aromas are classical chardonnay “Northern fruit” profile but with an interesting added note of celery leaves or celery seeds.

On the palate, the wine is well-structured with light, integrated oak and a creamy, smooth character.

Specific flavor notes include: “Honeysuckle, sweet vanilla, orange, some mineral, Meyer lemon (for anyone who is wondering, the Meyer lemon is a hybrid of citron and mandarin-pomelo; they are softer and less tart than regular lemons and have a slight tangerine character).”

Other comments included: “Rich and smooth with bright acid and a long finish”.
