Estate Selection merlots are blended from superior barrel lots and typically come from our older vineyard blocks.  This wine looks dark and rich in the glass.  It has a slightly ‘smoky’ aroma along with some cedar notes.  

When we sat around tasting, the first comment I wrote down was “Mmmmm-mmm!” from someone who really liked it!  More specific comments included: “Plum, plum, plum”, “Dark red cherry”, “Soft tannins”, “Cedar”, “A hint of apricot”.

The wine has a lovely soft mouth-feel and the ripe tannins sustain a long finish.
