BARREL TASTINGS
with Winemaker Eric Fry

Harvest is over and the winemaker hasn't stopped moving since!  So much happens behind the scenes before that delicious bottle of wine makes it to your table.  

We used to refer to these tastings as Winter Cellar Tours, but that doesn't quite fit the experience.  The tastings are done in small groups (12 -15 people) and are led by our winemaker, Eric Fry, who, in addition to being very entertaining, has over 30 years of winemaking experience.  

Participants learn a lot, occasionally chuckle and are the first to taste the upcoming vintages! These tours are only offered in Feb and March; so, they fill up quickly.

WINE EXPLORER SERIES

90 minute round table. Well actually it's square, but we like to think of it as a round table.

The best way to hone your palate is through good ole practice. So this season we invite you to practice your way through Austria & Germany, Malbec, Serbia & Croatia,  and Champagne.

3 flights of wines tasted blindly. Information presented on specific region and/or varietal. Basically we taste the wines, rate them and then discuss.  No pressure and no wrong answers!

General Public: $50/afternoon
Lenz Subscribers: $25/afternoon

Feb 12 --  Austria & Germany
Feb 26 --  Malbec
March 11 --  Serbia & Croatia
March 25 --  Champagne

All tastings start at 1:30pm and are offered in The Lenz Cottage on the winery property.  
Limited to 20 participants; so, reserve early!
